The car modification market is mixed; proceed with caution on the following items:
1. Cold air intake
For daily commuter vehicles, upgrading to a high-flow air filter is sufficient. A cone-style (dustbin) intake can actually raise intake temperatures.
2. Short springs
Simply replacing with short springs can alter the factory suspension geometry, affecting handling and comfort.
3. Electronic Throttle Accelerator
It merely alters the throttle signal curve and does not genuinely increase power.
